On October 23, 2024, the research team hosted the final presentation of the Erasmus+-funded Greening Games project at Cologne Game Lab. This multiplier event marked the culmination of a three-year journey exploring the integration of sustainable approaches into game education.
The morning session, offered in a hybrid format, provided participants with an overview of the project’s didactic approaches. Presentations covered game infrastructures, cultures, development, and design, offering insights into the project’s teaching materials and methodologies.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to practical engagement with an on-site playtesting session of the Greening Games Card Deck, a prototype designed by two CGL Master students. This interactive session allowed guests to test the game and offer feedback, guiding the next stages of development. All materials presented and playtested during the event are available in an online repository for those interested in exploring the project’s outcomes further: Greening Games Repository.
